Refunds & Cancellations

1. Project Setup Fees (One-Time Payments)

All online package purchases (Single Page Website, Multi-Page Website) involve a one-time project setup fee. Because work begins promptly after purchase — including onboarding, project scheduling, and resource allocation — the following refund schedule applies:

  • Within 24 hours of purchase (before onboarding contact): Full refund available on request if no project work has commenced.
  • After onboarding contact but before design sign-off: Partial refund at our discretion, less any reasonable costs incurred (discovery, briefing, initial design work).
  • After design sign-off: No refund available, as substantial work will have commenced based on your approved brief.

These conditions do not affect your rights under Australian Consumer Law. See section 5 below.

2. Essential Care Subscription — Cancellation

Purchasers of the Single Page Website and Multi-Page Website packages automatically receive a 90-day free trial of the Essential Care plan ($129/month inc. GST), after which billing commences monthly unless cancelled.

You may cancel the Essential Care subscription at any time before the trial period ends to avoid being charged. After billing has commenced, you may cancel at any time and your plan will remain active until the end of the current paid billing cycle — no further charges will be made after that date.

3. Essential Care Subscription — Refunds

Monthly subscription charges are generally non-refundable for the period already used. If a charge was made in error (e.g., after a confirmed cancellation), please contact us within 7 days and we will investigate and refund the charge promptly if confirmed as erroneous.

4. Custom & Enterprise Projects

Custom Website and Web Application engagements are governed by the individual project proposal or service agreement issued at project commencement. Refund and cancellation terms are set out in that document and may vary from the above schedule. Deposit payments are generally non-refundable unless the project is cancelled by Beaut Websites.

5. Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in this policy limits or excludes your rights as a consumer under the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)). If a service has a major failure, you are entitled to a refund. If a failure does not amount to a major failure, you are entitled to have it remedied within a reasonable time.
