Client Onboarding Guide
Everything you need to know before, during, and after your project.
How the Process Works

Purchase or Enquire
Buy a package online or submit a custom quote request. We accept payment securely via Stripe for buy-online packages. For custom projects, a proposal is issued first.

Discovery Call
Within one business day of your purchase, we'll reach out to introduce ourselves and schedule a short discovery call (usually 30–45 minutes). We'll cover your goals, brand, target audience, and any specific requirements.

Content Collection
We'll send you a Content Brief — a simple, structured guide outlining exactly what text, images, and assets we need from you. The faster you supply content, the faster your site gets built.

Design & Build
We design and develop your website, keeping you updated along the way. We'll share progress previews for your feedback before finalising.

Review & Revisions
You review the completed build. Your package includes a set number of revision rounds (see your package details). We refine based on your feedback.

Launch & Handover
Once approved, we launch your site and provide full handover documentation — including login details, a brief guide, and everything you need to manage your new website independently if you choose, or we can continue managing it via Essential Care.
What You'll Need to Provide
The more prepared you are, the smoother and faster your project will go. Below is a typical checklist of what we'll need from you. We'll send a tailored version of this as part of your Content Brief after the discovery call.
Brand Assets
- Your logo (preferably SVG or high-resolution PNG) — both the icon/mark and the wordmark/lockup separately if available
- Brand colours (hex codes, if known)
- Fonts — if you use a licensed/paid font, please supply the font files or a valid web licence
- Any existing brand guidelines
Content (Text)
- Your business name, tagline, and a brief description of what you do
- Text for each page — Home, About, Services, Contact (and any others)
- Any testimonials or reviews you'd like to include
- Your contact details (address, phone, email, business hours)
Images & Media
- High-resolution photos of your business, team, products, or services
- If you don't have photos, let us know — we can discuss stock image options
- Any videos you'd like embedded
Technical Details
- Your domain name (if you have one) and registrar login (or we can help you set one up)
- Hosting account details if you have an existing host (or we can advise on hosting)
- Any existing website login details if we're replacing or migrating content
Optional (Nice to Have)
- Links to websites you like the look of, and what you like about them
- Competitor websites
- Social media profile links
- Any existing marketing materials (brochures, ads, etc.)
Typical Timelines
Timelines depend on how quickly content is supplied and how many revisions are needed. The figures below assume content is ready within one week of the discovery call.

Delays caused by late content supply or extended client review periods are not within our control and may push back your launch date. See our Terms & Conditions for details.
Communication & Revisions
- We communicate primarily by email. For project updates or questions, email us at enquiries@beautwebsites.com.
- We aim to respond to all client emails within one business day.
- Your package includes revision rounds as specified in the package description. Additional revision rounds outside the included allowance are available at an hourly rate.
- Major scope changes (e.g., adding pages not in the original brief) may require a revised quote.
After Launch
Buy-online packages (Single Page and Multi-Page) include a 90-day Essential Care trial — a complimentary maintenance window where we handle any minor issues, updates, or fixes at no charge. Your 90-day trial begins on your website launch (go-live date), not at purchase time.
After 90 days, you can continue on a paid Essential Care plan ($129/month inc. GST) or arrange a full handover — everything you need to manage your site independently if you choose, or we can keep managing it via Essential Care. There's no lock-in — your website is yours.
